DICLOFENAC

General characteristics:

chemical name: diclofenac sodium; [o-(2,6-dichloro-aniline)-phenyl]acetic acid sodium salt;

basic physical and chemical properties: suppositories in the form of a torpedo, white to cream color;

composition: diclofenac sodium – 50 mg, or 100 mg;

auxiliary substances: colloidal silicon dioxide, mgla, tallow.

Pharmacotherapeutic group. Not steroid anti-inflammatory medication. PBX 01A M 05.

Pharmacological properties.

Diclofenac is a derivative of phenyl acetic acid. It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activity by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis and reducing thus all manifestations of inflammation.
