De-Nol
About the drug:
The drug De-Nol protects the stomach wall from the action of hydrochloric acid. Used in various diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
Indications and dosage:
ulcers disease stomach and duodenal ulcer in acute phase (including associated with Helicobacter pylori);
chronic gastritis and gastroduodenitis in the acute phase (including associated with Helicobacter pylori);
irritable bowel syndrome that occurs predominantly with symptoms of diarrhea;
functional dyspepsia not associated with organic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
Adults and children over 12 years the preparation appoint 1 tab. 4 times/day 30 minutes before meals and at bedtime or 2 tablets. 2 times/day 30 minutes before a meal.
Children aged 8 to 12 years appoint 1 tab. 2 times/day 30 minutes before meals.
Children aged 4 to 8 years is prescribed in a dose of 8 mg/kg/day; depending on body mass of the child appoint 1-2 tab./day (respectively 1-2 doses per day). This daily dose should be closest to the calculated dose (8 mg/kg/day).
Pills take 30 minutes before meals, squeezed small amounts of water.
The duration of treatment is 4-8 weeks. Over the next 8 weeks should not take medicines containing bismuth.
For Helicobacter pylori eradication it is advisable to use De-Nol in combination with antibacterial drugs that have anti-Helicobacter activity.
Overdose:
there is frequent administration of the drug in high doses and can manifest after 10 days in the form of symptoms characteristic of renal disease (increasing the level of bismuth in blood plasma).Poisoning dimercaptosuccinic and dimercaptopropanesulfonate acid is known to cause acute or chronic overdose of bismuth.Treatment consists of gastric lavage followed by administration of activated charcoal and osmotic laxatives. The absorption of bismuth as an additional treatment optional. When concomitant severe diseases of the kidneys should be carried out hemodialysis.
Side effects:
From the digestive system: possible nausea, vomiting, frequent stools, constipation. These effects are not hazardous to health and are temporary.
Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching of the skin.
CNS: long-term use at high doses - encephalopathy associated with the accumulation of bismuth in the CNS.
Contraindications:
hypersensitivity to the active substance or other components of the drug, severe renal insufficiency.
Interaction with other medications and alcohol:
Interaction with other medicinal products: the drug De-Nol reduces the absorption of tetracyclines. In the case of the simultaneous reception of the preparations containing bismuth, increases the risk of increasing the concentration of bismuth in the blood.
In the presence of black stool after taking the drug should consult a doctor. You can not drink milk half an hour before the reception and after half an hour after taking the drug De-Nol. For drug De-Nol is not recommended taking other medications containing bismuth.
It is not recommended to take the drug De-Nol during pregnancy and lactation.
